Ceremonial copal oil

Copal is a lustrous resin collected from various tropical trees usually in central america. Thanks to a direct connection, I was able to purchase a big beautiful hunk of sap wrapped in corn leaves directly from a Mayan tribe in the jungles of Belize. It’s incredibly special. I have infused the sap into organic cold press olive oil, vitamin e and added rose absolute and sandalwood EO to round out the smell and bump it to the next level. Each bottle is adorned with a blessed and local Nootka rose bud. 

This sacred oil can be used for ceremony, ritual or prayer. The smell is very grounding, calming, cleansing and centering. Use a few drops of oil on your wrists or rub into your hands and breath in the magic. Time just might pause… It’s property’s help to open the soul and connect with one’s intuition or inner knowing.

Copal has been used for thousands of years by Aztec and Mayan culture and is still used today by indigenous peoples of Mexico and Central American during ceremony. It is traditionally burned as incense but I chose to make a special topical oil. It is a gift to have access to this medicine, we work with it in an honoring way by recognizing its roots and blessing it’s origin. It is thought to be food for the ancestors and is offered as a way of saying thank you.
